A study of more than a million postmenopausal women, found that women who never took hormone replacement therapy, had the lowest risk of breast cancer, followed by women who started hormone replacement 5+ years after menopause began, and the group with the largest risk were those who took the hormone replacements before-5yrs. into menopause.
